Subtle Stress Can Be an Issue

Subtle incidents like waiting in traffic, not enjoying your job, or having trouble in your marriage can contribute to ongoing stress. This ongoing stress can create harmful changes in our blood pressure, cholesterol levels and our blood sugar levels. There are some things you can do to help ease the effects of this subtle stress. Make sure you are getting enough sleep every day. Break up your day by taking a lunch break and taking a walk. Change the order in which you do things. For instance if you grocery shop in the morning, go in the afternoon instead. Take a different driving route home from work. Making some small changes in your day can give you a different angle on life and may make you feel better.
