Self-Help for Migraines

Migraines can be debilitating but they can be managed. Taking a look at your lifestyle may help in figuring out how to keep your migraines under control. First know your triggers. Some common ones are stress, too much or not enough sleep, skipping meals or eating certain foods as well as caffeine, and alcohol. First, take good care of yourself and try and keep a regular routine. All of the following should be kept regular as much as possible: sleep schedule, eating, exercise, god posture and reducing stress. When a migraine does begin try using a cold pack on your head or neck. Lie down in a quiet dark place and relax and maybe even take a nap. If worse come to worse try taking some medication that can ease the pain.
