Stopping Stress Before it Starts

You do have the power to stop stress before it starts by knowing what your triggers are and stopping your body's response before it leads to being overwhelmed and chronic stress. The trick is is training your mind to see things in a more positive light and changing your perceptions of situations that you encounter. Of course it takes practice and you won't eliminate every single stressor in your life but for general stress management it's an invaluable tool. It's easy to get carried away in daily life with so many things going on. The most important things we can do for ourselves is often overlooked in all of life's daily chaos, down time. Let's face it, with this gray dreary weather, financial issues, and a post holiday slump, January can be a bad month for many. In order to keep your stress levels down start with the basics; exercise, eating well and down time. Try righting down things that are bothering you and talk with a good friend or family member. Stress Affects the Body

Some stress is normal in our every day lives. When it becomes aggressive and chronic then it can really affect your body and create health problems. Migraines are one of the most common forms of stress related illnesses. Another is muscle tension which in turn can lead to migraines. It offers guidance for self-healing, referral services, informational packets and more. Stress can be a hard to define because the symptoms can vary from person to person. There is "good" and "bad" stress. Knowing what the right amount of stress is for keeping us motivated and productive and less-destructive is am important skill.
