Some employers are paying for their employees to take mass transit to work instead of having them drive. Many commute to work enduring the high cost of gas and driving in traffic. Hopefully companies will take this on, seems like a great thing for both parties.

article talks about a study done on pregnant mothers who have endured stress in the early part of their pregnancy. As a result of the stress, they are more likely to give birth to a child who may develop schizophrenia. The stresses could include a natural disaster, a death in the family, or a terrorist attack. The study showed females to be the most affected. The placenta is very sensitive to the hormones of the mother and when stressed, hormones are amplified. Researchers believe this concept supports the idea that the greatest vulnerability is in the second month of pregnancy. Women that have anxiety or extreme stress should get help before becoming pregnant.

article about a new cigarette developed in India to help smoker's quit. Many people smoke to help relieve stress, which is obviously not very healthy. This new technology could be very helpful to smokers who have a hard time quitting. The filter part of the cigarette is a replaceable cartridge that keeps diluted nicotine. When you start inhaling the nicotine turns into vapor. There is no second hand smoke either. Interesting concept.
