Weight loss is a huge issue in our country and millions of dollars are spent every year on diets and losing weight. For many, eating is a cause of stress in their lives; their relationship with food is a constant battle of counting calories, curbing cravings or losing weight. Recently there have been studies done on how keeping a food journal can help ease the stress surrounding losing weight and keeping it off. For many there comes and an awareness of the food they are eating and what not to eat. For those that have some serious health issues related to food like diabetes, high cholesterol, or high blood pressure can have their doctor take a look at their journal. They can review it and point out any problems they may find or triggers they see in what they are eating. They can also help patients create goals or calorie totals to stay within. Having this assistance can really be helpful for those having a lot of trouble with their food intake and knowing how to eat to help reduce or eliminate their health issues.
